Everything changed in the construction industry in our country with the Gölcük, Adapazarı earthquake where we lived on August 17, 1999. We realized that most of our homes, buildings, workplaces, factories, hospitals, schools we live in were insecure against earthquakes. New laws and regulations were issued by the state to be valid in construction. Since almost all of the buildings we live in do not comply with this regulation; faced with the necessity of either strengthening or rebuilding.

The state saw the situation and passed a new Disaster Law. According to this law, "Urban Transformation" has officially started.
